Man arrested in fatal double shooting, second suspect wanted

RICHMOND, Va. — A Richmond man was indicted Wednesday on two felony charges in connection to a fatal double shooting on Richmond’s Southside in November.

Ralph A. Kimbrough Jr, 21, who was initially arrested on December 7, has been indicted on charges of first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Friday, police announced they are also looking for a second suspect in connection with the crimes.

Raheem J. Davis, 20, of the 100 block of East Broad Rock Road, is wanted on felony charges in connection with the shooting and homicide.

On November 30, officers were called to the 100 block of East 33rd Street in the Street Swansboro West neighborhood around 9:45 p.m. for a report of a shooting.

Officers found 24-year-old Javar Mayo, of the 00 block of Lombardy Street, wounded inside a vehicle that was pulled onto the curb.

Mayo was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. He succumbed to those injuries the next day.

A second victim was located nearby on East 33rd Street suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Davis is described as a black male, 5’10” tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos on his stomach, chest and both arms.

Police consider Davis armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone who sees Davis is asked to call police immediately.
