HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- A water valve broke in Henrico's West End sending water shooting 20 feet into the air Wednesday morning.

The break happened at Three Chopt Road and Santa Rosa Road, not far from Freeman High School.

About 15 residents and four office buildings near the valve break will be impacted as crews work to fix the situation, according to Henrico County Public Utilities workers. Residents will have low water pressure until crews completely shut off the water around 8 or 9 a.m.

Crews have not yet determined what caused the break.

Utility workers said they had to dig underground to find the cause, repair it, and then repave the road.

Officials said Wednesday night that the work should be done by noon Thursday.

One westbound lane of Three Chopt Road was closed as of 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
