WINCHESTER, Va. -- An 8-year-old Virginia boy with autism was reunited with his therapy dog over the weekend. Connor's therapy dog Layla went missing three months ago when Connor's family moved into a new home in Winchester.
Connor thought he’d never see his beloved pal again.
But Layla turned up three months later and 30 miles away in Hampshire County, West Virginia. She was discovered at an animal shelter there.
Connor thought he was going to Pet Valu in Winchester over the weekend to meet another new dog he’d be adopting, but he soon found out Layla was there.
The reunion was a huge success!
