Robber, with tattoo between his eyes, points gun at Hopewell clerk

HOPEWELL, Va. -- Police are looking for the man who robbed the 7-Eleven along the 3300 block of Oak Lawn Boulevard in Hopewell Sunday night.

"The lone offender entered the business, brandished a handgun and demanded money from the store clerks. After receiving an undisclosed amount of currency, the offender then fled the business on foot. No persons were harmed during the incident," a Hopewell Police spokesperson said.

Police described the robber as a 5’7”-5’8” black male with a medium build, a mustache and beard.

"[He was] last seen wearing a grey hooded jacket with white/black bands on the sleeves/wrists, dark in color Adidas jogging/sweat pants and black in color shoes," police said. "The offender also had a distinctive tattoo located right between his eyes and was in possession of a dark in color handgun."

The robbery was reported at about 9:40 p.m. Sunday.
