Highland Springs and Dinwiddie will play one more game this season next Saturday for a State Championship.

The Springers will go for a repeat on the campus of Hampton University after they beat Norview 28-25 to win the 5A South Championship.  They will go for back to back championships against the team they beat last year for the title, Stone Bridge.

Dinwiddie will look to complete a perfect season next week at William & Mary in the 4A Title Game after they beat Lafayette 28-14.  Tye Freeland scored two touchdowns and two interceptions in the win.  The Generals will meet Salem in the final at Zable Stadium.

In the 3A State Semifinals, Staunton River beat Hopewell 62-36.  The Blue Devils finished the season 10-4.

In the 2A State Semifinals, Appomattox defeated Goochland 45-13.  The Bulldogs ended the 2016 campaign 13-1.
