VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Now when you are relaxing on your beach vacation you will still be able to get a taste of Richmond.
Sugar Shack Donuts and Coffee is beach bound and this Saturday will celebrate the grand opening of its first Virginia Beach location on Shore Drive.
Sugar Shack first opened in Richmond in 2013 and quickly opened other locations around the metro area, and spread out to Northern Virginia and even Florida.
According to Sugar Shack’s website, each shop is locally owned and operated.
“We believe that having a local operator ensures a more direct involvement with the neighboring community,” the founders said.
The chain has been featured in several magazines and made USA Today’s list of Top 10 Tastiest Donuts in America and landed on Thrillist’s list of Best Donut Shops in America.
The Virginia Beach location will be the first location in Hampton Roads.
