Customer shot at Quick Mart; manhunt underway in Dinwiddie

DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. -- A manhunt is underway after a customer was shot during a robbery at a convenience store in Dinwiddie County Sunday night.

Dinwiddie County Sheriff’s Office officials said the robbery happened at the Quick Mart in the 21000 block of Boydton Plank Road in McKenney.

Deputies said at the suspect walked into the store at 8:20 p.m.  At some point during the robbery, a customer inside the store was wounded.

Officials said the victim was med-flighted to VCU Medical Center with life- threatening injuries.

Officials stressed they are still working an active crime scene and are searching for the suspect.
