RICHMOND, Va. – In celebration of Black Friday, the Richmond Animal League is waiving all adoption fees for dogs, cats, kittens and puppies throughout the holiday weekend.

The shelter will open early Friday and begin pet adoptions at 11 a.m. Friday’s hours will extend until 8 p.m. Waived adoption fees will continue until Monday November 28.

The Richmond Animal League says the free pet adoptions was made possible by Zappos.com and Best Friends Animal Society.

Approval to adopt is contingent upon completing an informal interview with an adoptions staff member.
