UPDATE: Henrico Police have announced an arrest in the murder of a woman found dead inside her Henrico County home Wednesday night.

Investigators tell CBS 6 News William Davis Tiller is charged with murder.



HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Henrico Police have launched a death investigation after a woman was found dead inside of her home Wednesday evening.

Police said at 6:45 p.m. they received a call for the suspicious death of a woman in the 6500 block of Engel Rd.

When police arrived to the scene they found a woman deceased with obvious signs of trauma to the body.

Insider sources tell CBS 6 reporter Jon Burkett a man called one of his family members and dropped his kids off with them. The kids then told that family member that their mom was dead.

Those sources say the woman had multiple gunshot wounds.

Henrico police are calling the woman’s death “suspicious,” but they have not released any additional details surrounding her death at this time.

Police did confirm they have a male suspect in police custody and they are not looking for anyone else in relation to the death.
