Dinwiddie, the top seed in 4A, had six players score a touchdown as they jumped out to a 45-18 halftime lead and advanced to the 4A State quarterfinals 58-18 over Monacan. They have beaten the Chiefs all three times they have played against each other in the playoffs.
The Generals led 17-0 after the quarter behind a Bryce Witt 62 yard touchdown pass to Derrick Jones followed by a K'Vaughan Pope 35 yard touchdown run.
Dinwiddie scored 28 points in the second on four touchdowns by three different players. A Travaughan Cooper 23 yard touchdown, a Tye Freeland 32 yard and 16 yard td run and a Zyan Sturdivant two yard touchdown.
Freeland had just six carries but for 139 yards and three touchdowns. Sturdivant added another 114 yards rushing and a score.
Monacan running back Korey Bridy had 103 yards rushing and a touchdown to finish the season with 31 touchdowns scored.
