Registration open for 4th annual CarMax Tacky Light Run

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. – Registration is open for one of Central Virginia’s most visual running events and newest holiday traditions.

The fourth-annual CarMax Tacky Light Run is Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Mid-lothian Mines Park.

The 6K or 3.72-mile race is a holiday-themed fun run in Chesterfield County’s Walton Park neighborhood.

The event combines tacky holiday lights, with a celebration of an active lifestyle.

The run is an untimed event and good for all levels of fitness. You’re also encouraged to put on your best, brightest and tackiest holiday attire. The run will also take participants throughout the neighborhood filled with festive collections of holiday lights and decorations.

Registration is open now, but starting Wednesday, November 16, adult and youth registration fees are set to increase by $5.00.

The price hike will make adult registration $40 and youth registration (under 18) $25.

The cost for the event includes race entry, post event holiday party, photo opps, participant hat, and an ornament finisher medal

Online registration will remain open until December 7 at 11:59 p.m.
