Teen shot near community center on Richmond’s Northside

RICHMOND, Va. – A teen is fighting for his life at a local hospital after being shot in Richmond’s Northside Wednesday evening.

Police said the shooting happened just before 6:00 p.m. on Dunn Avenue, near the Hotchkiss Field Community Center on E Brookland Park Blvd.

When officers arrived to the scene they discover a teen suffering from a serious gunshot wound. He has been transported to VCU Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

There is no information on a suspect at this time.
