DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. -- A posse of cowboys from Texas came clip clopping through Dinwiddie County Thursday.

The group of men, led by the head pastor of the Texoma Cowboy Church, said they are riding to Washington, D.C. to call for a revival of the church in America.

Members from Arkansas, Oklahoma, Alabama and Texas have been riding for 36 days and have covered 900 miles so far.

The riders from the Texoma Church, which practices evangelical Christianity, said people in towns across the country have been polite and accommodating.

Organizers also pointed out that the horses ride for one day and then get two days of rest.

The group aims to reach D.C. in four days.
