Dinwiddie student offered ride during ‘suspicious incident’

DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. -- The Dinwiddie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious incident that occurred Tuesday morning when a middle school student was approached and offered a ride.

Investigators said the incident happened around 6:40 a.m. in the 4300 block of Chesdin Boulevard.

That’s when officials say a Dinwiddie Middle School student was approached by a man driving a small, older model grey SUV.

The man offered the student a ride in his vehicle. Investigators said the student immediately declined and ran back to his residence.

The man is described as being a white male between 50 and 60 years old, wearing a cap and had greyish hair.
