RICHMOND, Va. -- Saturday morning began with low temperatures in the 30s and 40s for Virginia, but southwesterly winds will push warmer air into the Commonwealth for the rest of the weekend.
Highs Saturday afternoon will be in the 70s to around 80° :
Lows Saturday night into Sunday morning will also be much warmer:
High Sunday will reach the low to mid 80s before a cold front moves through Sunday evening.
High temperatures on Monday will be back down into the 60s, making for a seasonable Halloween evening with temperatures in the 50s.
The normal high during this period is around 67°. The record high at Richmond International Airport for Sunday is 86°, set back in 1946.
After cooling down a bit Monday and Tuesday, highs will get back to around 80° Wednesday and Thursday. Another cold front will drop highs back into the 60s Friday and next weekend.
