HENRICO COUNTY, Va. – Police are asking for the public’s help to find the driver of a motorcycle wanted in a multi-vehicle wreck that closed part of Broad Street in Henrico County for hours Saturday.

Officials said police and fire crews were called out to Broad between Dominion Boulevard and Cox Road at 4:30 p.m.

Henrico police said the wreck happened when a red Pontiac Coupe and a motorcycle were speeding along West Broad. When the Pontiac hit a slower moving vehicle on Broad, the car overturned and the adult male driver was ejected.

Police said he suffered serious life-threatening injuries.

The occupants of the vehicle that were struck were treated for minor injuries.

Broad Street and the I-64 exit (178B) for eastbound Broad Street, which was also closed, reopened around 8:40 p.m.

Police described the bike as a cruiser style mid-sized motorcycle with chrome accessories. The driver was wearing a red jacket or shirt and possible black or red helmet.

If you have information that could help police, call Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000 or Henrico Police at 804-501-5000.
