JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. — Officials said 17-year-old Rayleigh Cheyenne Bunker, who was last seen leaving Lafayette High School Thursday at about 12:30 p.m., was found safe Friday evening.

James City County officials posted on Facebook around 5:20 p.m. that “Ms. Bunker has been found safe!”

Bunker’s white Kia Soul was found Friday morning at Newport News City Park on Jefferson Avenue, according to James City County Police.

“Bunker is on medication for mental health issues and does not have her medication with her,” James City County Police spokesperson Stephanie Williams said. “JCC Police are collaborating with other local law enforcement agencies in attempts to locate her.”
