Innocent woman killed in Richmond home; arrests made

RICHMOND, Va. -- Two men were arrested in connection to the March 2016 shooting death of 49-year-old Kemberly Williams.

Williams was inside a North 29th Street home when bullets fired from guns outside the house entered the building and struck her.

"This shooting took the life of an innocent woman. Through months of investigating, detectives were able to identify two of the individuals involved in this incident," Major Crimes Lt. Cynthia Hayes said. "We are continuing to gather information and reaching out to anyone who may have witnessed or have information about what occurred that night."

David D. Jones, 20, of Richdale Road, and Keon C. Anderson, 18, of St. Paul Street, were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

Anderson was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

"I was sitting on my couch. I thought it was firecrackers. It was so many shots," one witness said about the March 24 shooting.
