HENRICO COUNTY, Va. – A Henrico teen arrested for attempting to rob a pizza delivery driver explained from jail how he regretted his actions.

"It looks bad, it looks bad on me," Mouctar Bah said from Henrico jail. “And my family, they raised me better.”

Bah, a Hermitage High School student, is accused of trying to rob a pizza delivery driver.

"I'm not really a bad kid.  I don't really go out there looking to like rob people," said Bah.

When questioned if his actions were intended as a game, Bah said, “I don't know what was going through my head... stupidity."

What Bah claimed was part of a prank, may have gone differently had the driver not pulled out his own gun.

Bah and two friends ordered a pizza around 11 p.m. from Papa Johns to an address in the 300 block of Keeton Road, near Chamberlayne Farms, on Friday night.

Bah said he and his friends tried to scare the driver and pulled a BB gun on him.

"I guess the guy wasn't scared," Bah said. "So, he just came out with the gun, shot and soon as I seen him back up -- that's when I turned around."

Bah said the pizza delivery driver shot at him and the two other teens. One of the bullets hit Bah in the upper arm.

"I was in shock,” Bah said.

Bah said police picked him up at school Monday and arrested him.

He has been charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery and a firearms charge.

He said he did not realize the severity of the crime, until it was too late.

A well-known soccer player at Hermitage High, Bah said has learned a valuable lesson.

"Listen to my mother and focus on what's important,” Bah said, “soccer and education.”

His message for other kids was to think before you act.

"It's not worth it; it's not worth it,” Bah said.  “Choose a different path."

After confirming Bah was a student at Hermitage High School, school officials declined further comment.

Henrico Police arrested a second suspect in the robbery. A 17-year-old suspect has also been identified as part of the robbery attempt.

No word yet if that teen will face charges.

Bah is due back in Henrico's General District court on November 9.
