Spiders roll past Elon for 5th straight win

On Saturday night's sportscast, the Richmond Spiders won their 5th in a row 35-7 over Elon.  Redshirt freshman Deontez Thompson recorded his second 100 yard plus game this season with 114 yards on 16 carries and two touchdowns; one rushing and one receiving.

The Virginia Cavaliers lost their second straight after winning two in a row 35-14 to North Carolina.  UVA had just 253 yards of total offense and allowed 488 to UNC.

Virginia State beat Lincoln 69-7 on Homecoming as they scored 69 unanswered points. Running back Trent Cannon rushed for 171 yards and three touchdowns.  The Trojans gained 421 yards on the ground.

Virginia Union rallied from 21 down to beat Bowie State 42-35.  William Stanback had 194 yards on the ground and three touchdowns.  VUU outscored the Bulldogs 42-14 after trailing by 21.

Randolph Macon beat Catholic 21-0 on Homecoming.  The Yellow Jackets recorded their 3rd shutout this season.

In High School action, #10 Benedictine fell to Woodberry Forest 43-7.  Quarterback Lindell Stone threw five touchdowns for the Tigers.

St. Christopher's beat Bishop Ireton 35-21 and J.R. Tucker defeated John Marshall 48-0.
