Police release Shockoe market robbery video

RICHMOND, Va. -- Police released video of the man suspected of robbing the Shockoe Valley Market on N. 18th Street in Richmond.

"The suspect walked into the convenience store, brandished a firearm, and robbed a store employee of cash and a box of cigars," a Richmond Police spokesperson said. "He fled on foot eastbound on East Marshall Street. There were no injuries."

The crime was reported at about 1:13 p.m.

Police described the suspect as a black man with a goatee, approximately six feet tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds. He wore a grey hooded sweatshirt, jeans and black boots.
