Deep Run head coach Chad Hornik has the Wildcats headed in the right direction in his first season. They snapped a three game losing streak to West End rival Mills Godwin 21-14 behind 141 total yards from quarterback Aidan Wheeler.

Wildcats running back Jason Hutchinson opened the scoring with a 16 yard run in the first quarter to give Deep Run a 7-0 lead. Hutchinson ran for 43 yards total on the night and contributed 12 tackles on defense.

Wheeler was 5 of 8 passing for 55 yards and had a 12 yard touchdown run in the 1st half. The Wildcats are now 4-3 on the season, the first time they've had at least 4 wins in a year since 2012. They are on the road at Douglas Freeman next week. The Eagles fall to 4-3 and will host Hermitage next week.
