RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond Police have located the gold vehicle with “666” on the side that is suspected in a Church Hill hit-and-run Saturday that left two teens injured.

CBS 6 talked to the mother of the boys Monday who said her sons were leaving the East End library on their bikes when the crash happened.

"My sons could've lost their lives," said the Richmond mom Monday.

Both teens were taken to VCU Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The teens identified the vehicle as having “666” spray-painted on the side and Florida license plates.

After the story aired Monday night police located the gold van and the driver at a Richmond home.

The truck was towed away by investigators and taken into evidence.

CBS 6 reporter Jon Burkett spoke with the suspect in the hit-and-run and he said he didn't realize anything criminal had taken place.

“I tapped him as I was making a right turn. He didn’t fall over. I talked to him and he was fine. Then his brother started getting aggressive with the car. That’s when I drove off,” he said. “I didn’t realize I was leaving the scene of an accident. At least one of them said they were OK. I hope they are, I didn’t realize they had to go to the hospital later.

Police are still investigating the incident, but  no charges have been filed at this time.

Anyone with additional information about the hit-and-run was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000.
