Wanted man vanishes in woods near Henrico shopping center

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Police are looking for a man who vanished in the woods near a Henrico County shopping center.

Police were called to the 4500 block of South Laburnum Avenue, near the White Oak Village shopping center, Sunday, October 2, for a suspicious person.

“Upon seeing officers, a male fled into wooded area and was not located. Further investigation into this revealed the male suspect recently made several purchases in the area with a stolen credit card,” Henrico Police spokesman Lt. Chris Garrett said.

Police described the man as an adult black male wearing a black and red shirt and black pants.
