Fallen trees, high water closes four Chesterfield roads

CHESTERFIELD, Va. — Several roads in Chesterfield County are currently closed due to high water and fallen trees caused by heavy rain during the overnight hours.

 Ruffin Mill Road is closed between Ashton Park Drive and Ruffin Mill Place. Drivers may consider using Woods Edge Road to avoid delays.

Kingsland Road is currently closed between Bluespruce Drive and Salem Church Road. Motorists should avoid this area and use Beulah Road or Salem Church Road as an alternate route.

Hopkins Road is currently closed between Alfaree Road and Thurston Road. Motorists may use Chester Road as an alternative.

Otterdale Road is currently closed due to high water between Duval Road and Westerleigh Parkway. Drivers should avoid this area and use Genito Road or Woolridge Road as an alternate route.

Police advise drivers to allow extra time when traveling.
