Thief uses stick to tilt cameras before robbing Richmond laundromat

RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond Police detectives released pictures of a man who is a suspect in a commercial robbery.

Around 9:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 25, the male suspect entered the laundry business at 1221 Jefferson Davis Highway, through a side door.

The business was closed at the time.

He used a long stick to push up security cameras to point them toward the ceiling.

He then stole cash and coins from the business, police said. It is believed the suspect fled from the store on foot northbound along Jefferson Davis Highway.

The suspect, who is a black male, wore a black baseball cap, black jacket, a black bandana across his face and baggy blue jeans.
