HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Teachers give a lot every day to make a difference in the lives of children across the country, so CBS 6 surprised some devoted teachers at Sandston elementary school.
CBS 6 reporter Brendan King, with the help of Union Bank and Trust, surprised the teachers in a back-to-school edition of CBS 6 Gives.
"We know as teachers you all work so hard. You work long hours, you give so much of yourselves, so we just wanted to treat you all to lunch," said Brendan.
Which garnered a round of applause from the teachers.
"So all we ask if for you to continue to spread love to the community and your students, because we know you already do," he added.
