CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Dive teams at Dutch Gap in Chester found a vehicle in the water.

"Henrico and Chesterfield are working this as a joint incident," Henrico Fire spokesman Capt. Taylor Goodman said. "We received the call at 7:36 this morning reporting a sheen of oil on the surface of the water, then discovered the vehicle underwater."

The recovered car, a Mazda, was reported stolen from Henrico County back in April. There was no one inside car.

"Any investigation into the stolen vehicle and who may have taken it will be handled by Henrico Division of Police," Chesterfield Police Lt. Peter Cimbal said.
