RICHMOND, Va. -- Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the man who stole cash from the register of a Museum District business on Saturday, Sept. 24.
The commercial larceny happened around 7:50 p.m., when the male suspect entered the business and started a conversation with the clerk.
When the employee turned away to look at the price of an item, the man reached across the counter, opened the register and stole cash.
He then fled from the store on foot.
The suspect is described as a black male, age 30-35, around 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing between 150-180 pounds. At the time of the incident, he was seen wearing a light blue T-shirt, plaid pants and a black Chicago Bulls hat.
