Healthcare worker charged with theft from assisted living facility

HANOVER, Va. – A healthcare worker has been charged with stealing from an assisted living facility, according to Hanover investigators.

Tyra Latrice Smith, 29, of Richmond, was arrested and charged with four counts of Grand Larceny.

These larcenies were reported to the Sheriff’s Office in May, July and August 2016.

Smith was employed with a home healthcare agency to assist the elderly victim at a private residence from January through March 2016.

Smith was also found to be an employee at an assisted living facility where additional larcenies were reported in July and August. Smith was arrested for these crimes and charged with four counts of Grand Larceny.
