HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Kurt Douglas Moon, 34, was killed early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash in eastern Henrico County, according to police.
Moon, who worked as a bartender at Metzger Bar and Butchery on N. 23rd Street in Richmond, was the passenger in a van that ran off Osborne Turnpike and into a ditch, according to Henrico Police.
He was thrown from the vehicle and later pronounced dead at the hospital.
"Kasie Lynn Hull [the driver of the van] was arrested for driving under the influence at the scene," Henrico Police spokesman Lt. Chris Garrett said. "Members of the Henrico Police Crash Team continue to investigate this crash and are consulting with the Henrico Commonwealth’s Attorney on additional charges."
Hull, according to friends, worked at one time as a server at Foo Dog in the Fan.
Police did not indicate where the pair were driving from, nor where they were headed when they crashed.
The crash was reported at 2:46 a.m. Sunday at Osborne Turnpike, near River Bend Estates Drive.
