RICHMOND, Va. — A vacant Fan restaurant space has been brought back to life by a new venture served up by a longtime local chef.
Mike Hall’s Spoonbread Bistro opens for business today at 2526 Floyd Ave., in a building at the intersection of Floyd and Robinson avenues formerly occupied by Jorge’s Cantina.
The two-story restaurant will have 82 seats for patrons, including a 12-seat, upper level bar.
Spoonbread Bistro is the latest restaurant venture for Hall, a native of Richmond who ran his first restaurant – The Vine – in the Sixth Street Marketplace. He’s also an owner of the former M Bistro and Wine Bar in Rocketts Landing, and a former chef at 2300 Club in Church Hill.
