LOUISA COUNTY, Va. -- The Louisa couple arrested and charged after they were overheard making threats against Louisa County Middle School may have been searching online for blueprints of the school, multiple law enforcement sources tell CBS 6.

Court documents reveal Marlana Milian, 33, and Adrian Reeves, 31, were charged with conspiracy to maliciously burn or destroy by the use of explosives, or aid, counsel or procure the burning destruction of the middle school and also with conspiracy to maliciously shoot students and school staff with the intent to maim, disfigure, disable or kill.

The couple’s Depot Road home was searched last week, according to neighbors.

“I was mad when I first heard,” said neighbor Michael Pantos. “Lock them up. They’re gone now and in court. But I hope they don’t come back.“

Milan was granted a $50,000 secured bond last week, but the Commonwealth appealed the judge’s decision. The hearing for the appeal will be heard at a later date.

CBS 6 legal expert Todd Stone says this type of appeal happens for one of two reasons: either prosecutors believe she poses a danger to the public or she is a flight risk.

Milan and Reeves were arrested last week after threats were made last Thursday during a custody dispute off of school grounds.

"The incident stemmed from a domestic situation pertaining to child custody issues," Louisa Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Tabethia Cosner said. "Both individuals were heard making threatening statements in public, outside of the school building."

The exact nature and wording of the threats were not released investigators.
