LOUISA COUNTY, Va. – A Louisa teen says she fearful of his mother’s life after she was abducted by gunpoint Thursday morning in Louisa County.

Dennis Kyle Hill, 16, learned at school Thursday that something terrible had happened to his mom. "I'm just worried he's going to kill her," he said. "My dad and a detective picked me up at school."

Deputies say 47-year-old Lisa Crane had just finished her bus route and came back to drop off her bus for the morning on Johnny Hall Road in Mineral.

They say that’s when she was taken off the bus at gunpoint by a man, who they now believe is her ex-boyfriend, Russell Jefferies, 47.

"It stems from an ongoing domestic dispute," said Maj. Donny Lowe.  “Ms. Crane was abducted by her ex-boyfriend at gunpoint and dragged to another car where two other men were inside.”

Hill says they had just moved into a nearby trailer Tuesday, the same day his father was released from jail. The teen believes Jeffries was upset that his mom and dad were getting along again.

Deputies say they're following leads, but Lowe said they were "very concerned for her safety."

"We are hoping people call,” said Lowe. “They should consider him armed and dangerous and we believe Ms. Crane to be in imminent danger."

Crane is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall with blonde hair. Jefferies is approximately 6 feet tall.

Investigators believe they may be in a gray, 4-door late model Honda or Mazda.

Deputies say five other jurisdictions including state police are involved in the case. Sources tell CBS 6 reporter Jon Burkett a tip led them to Fredericksburg Thursday night.

There is no word yet on how that panned out.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office at 540-967-1234.
