Louisa woman abducted at gunpoint

LOUISA COUNTY, Va. -- Investigators are aggressively searching for a woman who was abducted by gunpoint Thursday morning in Louisa County.

Police said the incident happened at approximately 8:37 a.m. when a call came into the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office from Jonnie Hall Road in Mineral.

The caller said a woman was abducted from a vehicle at gunpoint by a man. There were also two other men with the alleged abductor.

The victim has been identified as Lisa Crane, 47. She is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall with blonde hair. The alleged abductor has been identified as Russell Jefferies, 47, who is approximately 6 feet tall.

“At this time, the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office is aggressively tracking and investigating this incident,” said a Louisa County Sheriff’s Office spokeswomen. ”We believe the victim is in immediate danger and that the subject is armed and dangerous. It is believed that they may be in a gray, 4-door late model Honda or Mazda.”
