HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Police released the names of the woman and man killed in a car crash on Willis Church Road in eastern Henrico.

Jessica Breon Bradby, 22, and Gary Nathaniel Adkins, 24, both of Providence Forge, were killed Monday when the Ford Crown Victoria they were riding in ran off Willis Church Road and hit a tree. The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

"Members of the Henrico Police Crash Team continue to investigate this crash to determine its cause and whether speed or alcohol are factors," Henrico Police spokesman Lt. Chris Garrett said. "Please keep the Adkins and Bradby families in your thoughts as they deal with this sudden and tragic loss."

The crash was reported at about 5:16 p.m. Monday on Willis Church Road near New Market Road.
