LOS ANGELES — Chris Brown’s attorney says the singer never pointed a gun at a woman’s head earlier this week.
Brown was arrested Tuesday after an hours-long standoff with police at his southern California home.
A woman alleges brown threatened her with a gun that morning.
But attorney Mark Geragos told reporters Friday hat police didn’t find any gun at brown’s house.
He also says brown is a frequent target of those wanting to get him in legal hot water.
“I have represented him on no less than five other matters where, specifically, somebody had made a false accusation,” Mark Geragos said. “And once it was investigated, it was proven to be false. This is not the first time that somebody has made a false accusation about Chris Brown.”
Geragos also alleged the woman sent text messages to a friend where she discussed trying to set up brown.
Brown was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and is currently free on bail.
