HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- A work truck hauling a Bobcat crashed on Interstate 295, near Interstate 95 in northern Henrico, and closed all southbound lanes of the interstate early Tuesday morning.
The accident happened at about 1:30 a.m. and closed the interstate at Exit 43 near Brook Road for about four hours.
The dump truck, which was pulling the Bobcat, ran off the road and went through a guard rail, according to police dispatchers. When the Bobcat came loose, it spilled debris and glass across the roadway.
Troopers continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Charges against the driver are pending the outcome of the investigation.
The driver was not injured in the crash.
