PETERSBURG, Va. -- Police arrested four suspects in a shooting that left two people injured in Petersburg near Virginia State University early Saturday morning.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting between 12 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of University Boulevard and High Street.
Two victims arrived at Southside Regional Medical Center with gunshot wounds, with one being shot in the hand and the other in the leg. Both injuries are considered non-life threatening.
Police stopped a vehicle at the scene and arrested the four occupants of the car. Weapons were also seized during the stop.
While officials say the shooting stemmed from a dispute between the two groups, the nature of the dispute is unknown at this time.
