Shattered glass across I-95 causes major delays in Petersburg

PETERSBURG, Va. -- Shattered glass across I-95 in Petersburg has caused a massive traffic backup near Washington St. Tuesday evening.

State Police said a tractor trailer lost entire sheets of glass northbound on I-95 at the Washington Street exit around 7: 30 p.m. There were no injuries or damage to any other vehicles.

All northbound lanes are closed until further notice for debris cleanup. Southbound lanes have reopened.

Traffic is getting by on the right shoulder. The northbound backup is 1.5 miles, continue to expect delays.
