CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. – A fire on Sherri Drive in Chesterfield County has been ruled suspicious by fire investigators.
"The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation," Chesterfield Fire and EMS spokesman Lt. Jason Elmore said.
Elmore said crews were called to the 13200 block of Sherri Drive before 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
"Fire crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the front of the house and fire coming from the rear of the house," Elmore said. "It took crews approximately 30 minutes to get the fire under control."

Elmore said one person was hurt in the fire and transported to VCU Medical Center. Authorities said she suffered serious injuries in the fire.
