HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — World-renowned chef Peter Chang is set to open his latest Richmond-area restaurant in Short Pump Monday, August 8.
Noodles and Dumplings by Peter Chang will open to the public this Monday at 11:30 a.m. The 3,500-square-foot restaurant is located at 11408 W. Broad St. in the Short Pump Village Shopping Center.
The restaurant’s cuisine will be noodles and dumplings based, a departure from existing Chang restaurants and his authentic Chinese cuisine.

The Short Pump location is Chang’s third restaurant in the Richmond-area and the ninth overall.
In a recent interview with Mark Holmberg, Chang said he decided to put his restaurants in Richmond because “it is a very important city in the South” and he felt he could be successful here.
“I love it here in Virginia,” Chang told Holmberg in a June interview. “Also, Virginia has given me a lot of opportunities.”
His other restaurant locations include Arlington, Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, Virginia Beach, and Williamsburg.
