RICHMOND, Va. -- A section of Forest Hill Avenue near Powhite Parkway is expected to remain shutdown into Friday afternoon following an early-morning crash. Police said a vehicle, driven by a woman, crashed into a power pole at the intersection of Forest Hill Avenue and Glyndon Lane.
Two other vehicles then ran into the pole and lines that fell across Forest Hill Avenue at about 2:15 a.m. Friday.
The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The other drivers were not hurt.
Police have charged with the woman with DUI, but said she was not cooperative with the investigation.
Detours are in place to help drivers get around the closed road.
Emergency crews expect the road to reopen at 2 p.m. Friday.
Power crews are also working to restore electricity to around 100 Dominion customers who lost power because of the crash.
