SC man accused of breaking wife’s leg with golf club

CHESNESS, SC — The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office said a man was arrested after hitting a woman with a golf club Monday night.

Kenneth James Marshall, 40,  was charged with criminal domestic violence first degree, WHNS reported.

Deputies said they were called to a home on Simmons Drive in Chesnee just after 9:30 p.m. in regards to an argument.

When deputies arrived, the woman said her husband had hit her in the shin with a golf club, breaking her leg.

Marshall also made threats to set the house on fire with his wife inside, according to the incident report.

Deputies said Marshall was arrested and is currently locked up at the Spartanburg County Detention Center.

He was also convicted of domestic violence in 2014.
