2 children among 4 seriously injured in Dinwiddie head-on collision

DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. – Four people, including two children have been taken to the hospital after a head-on crash in Dinwiddie County late Monday afternoon.

The Dinwiddie County Sheriff’s Office said the accident occurred around 4:20 p.m. in the 5200 block of Courthouse Road.

A total of four people were seriously injured in the crash. Two people were taken by ground to VCU Medical Center.

Police sources tell CBS 6 two children were taken to VCU Medical Center, via med flight. Sources said the children include a 5-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy.

All of the injuries are considered life-threatening. The children are critical, but stable condition.

Police have not released any additional information about the crash at this time.
