HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- When a powerful storm system blew through Central Virginia Tuesday afternoon, it knocked trees down onto homes, power lines, and roads.
When one tree fell on South Laburnum Avenue in eastern Henrico County, between Darbytown Road and New Market Road, it brought traffic to a complete stop. But only for a few minutes.
That's because once the tree fell, several drivers got out of their cars and cleared the tree off the road -- during the storm.
"It was heartwarming to see everyone coming together," Janet Grossler, who recorded video of the drivers at work, said. "With everything going on in the news, it was great to see this."
