Chesterfield woman stabs man as domestic dispute turns violent

CHESTERFIELD, Va. — Early Tuesday morning police responded to a domestic disturbance that had turned violent.
Just before 1:30 a.m. Chesterfield Police found a man in his 50s who had been stabbed. The dispute went down in the 4600 block of Valley Overlook Drive, at the Addison at Swift Creek Apartments.
Police said a woman in her 30s stabbed the man in their apartment.
The couple were fighting when tensions took a  violent turn, according to Lt. Mark Hayes with Chesterfield Police.
The man was stabbed in the leg and is currently at  Chippenham Medical Center.
The woman is under arrest, and charges are pending, police said.
