HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Thousands of homes in Henrico County lost power Monday night after storms and heavy rain hit Central Virginia.
A little after midnight, Dominion Virginia Power reported more than 14,000 customers were without power. A majority of the outages happened in Henrico County.
As of 6:40 a.m., Dominion was reporting the following outages:
- Chesterfield 350
- Hanover 9
- Henrico 460
- Richmond City 2
Henrico County had some trees fall as a result of the storm, one in Chester knocked down a power line.
Dominion said on its website that they hoped to restore power by 6 a.m.
