Enjoy family fun outdoors at Henricus, during Colonial Games, Songs and Dance

CHESTER, Va. –Virginia’s second settlement Henricus was created by Sir Thomas Dale as an alternative village away from swampy Jamestown. The settlement overlooks the James River, near Dutch Gap.

On Saturday, July 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Henricus Historical Park will come alive with merriment of the 17th century during the “Colonial Games, Songs and Dance” event.

Join Henricus historical interpreters and experience the games, music and dance of 17th -century Virginia.  With the opportunity for children and adults to be a part of the games, live

Both children and adults will have an opportunity to be a part of the games. Live music and light refreshments will be provided.

Admission to the day-long event is just $6 for children, ages 3-12, and $8 for adults. ree for Henricus patrons.

The event is free for Henricus patrons.

Plus there are two Pokemon GO gyms at the location.
