Gunman in Halloween mask robs Colonial Heights store

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. – A gunman wearing a Halloween mask robbed the Sunoco gas station located at 961 Temple Avenue in Colonial Heights. police said.

The robbery was reported at around 3:31 a.m. on Monday, July 11.

Police said the suspect, armed with a semiautomatic handgun, Stole an unknown amount of cash and cigarettes, then fled the business on foot towards the Southpark Mall area.

Police described the suspect as a black male, around 5 feet 5 inches tall with a medium build. The suspect was wearing a Halloween mask, a dark colored hoodie and pants, white shoes and a red or pink glove on his right hand.

The suspect was also carrying a black backpack with light green stripes and armed.

Suspect matching same description robs Hopewell 7-Eleven

A suspect matching the same description robbed the 7-Eleven on Oaklawn Boulevard in Hopewell Monday morning around 4:27 a.m.

Police described this gunman as a black male, around 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweat pants, a red glove on his right hand, and a large backpack with green stripes.
